A few pictures from David’s trip to India. Our itinerary: Bangalore -> Srirangapatnam (mosque pictured above)-> Mudhumalai Tiger Reserve (where we saw deer, boar, elephants, 2 types of monkeys, peacocks, and more)->Ooty & Coonoor (tea plantations pictured above)->Hampi (UNESCO world heritage site, ruins pictured above, Lucy joined us!!)->Cochin->Munnar->Alleppey(backwaters, pictured above).

Overall it was such an amazing trip. Our favorite places were Coonoor and Hampi. Particularly renting bikes and riding around the ruins. We even took a detour onto a dirt road and found a river, banana plantations, and more ruins tucked away.

While my parents were visiting me in India we took a quick vacation to Cochin and the Kerala backwaters. Cochin was a beautiful mix of European, Asian, and Indian influences. You can see it in the architecture, food, tourists, everywhere. Above are some masks from traditional Kerala folkdance, Chinese fishing nets, a Portuguese cathedral, a Kerala-style temple (which are always full of lighted lamps at night), and photos of the backwaters.
